Training aids such as the PuttOUT Pressure Putt Trainer ($24.99) and the Orange Whip ($119.99) have no ongoing cost.
Prices verified: October 2026, except where a row names an earlier check or a launch price. Promotion status was checked on 27 October 2026. XS Golf did not physically test these products; how each one works is described as its maker or a named publication describes it.
Hardware Price vs Subscription: The 3-Year View
A Black Friday discount is paid once; a subscription is paid every year. The table runs each product over a three-year ownership window at its baseline price, so you can see the net cost after any holiday hardware discount.

Sources: Arccos, Bushnell, Garmin, PuttOUT and Orange Whip prices are from the manufacturer, as checked in our individual reviews in October 2026. The Garmin Approach S62 price is Garmin’s suggested retail price from its January 2020 launch release; a current Garmin product page was not found, so availability is not confirmed. The Shot Scope V5 price and no-subscription terms are from Shot Scope’s April 2024 launch announcement as reported by Plugged In Golf. The Approach Z82 price is from our rangefinder guide. N/C means not confirmed.
Why a Hardware Discount Rarely Closes a Subscription Gap
Over three years, Arccos Smart Sensors cost $599.97 more than the Shot Scope V5 at its launch price, because of the membership. That gap is larger than the full $249.99 price of the sensors, so no discount on the sensors alone can bring Arccos level with the V5 on cost; the choice between them comes down to which analytics you want. The Garmin Approach R10 is different: its $99.99 membership is optional and only needed for Home Tee Hero course play (Garmin), so a hardware discount on the R10 is close to a straight saving.
Training Aids With No Ongoing Cost
PuttOUT designs its Pressure Putt Trainer as a parabolic ramp that returns putts hit too soft or too firm, and sells it at $24.99 (Premium) or $19.99 (Classic), with putting mirrors sold separately (PuttOUT). The Orange Whip is a weighted orange ball on a flexible fiberglass shaft, sold as a tempo trainer at $119.99 in full, mid-size and compact lengths and $99.99 for juniors (Orange Whip). Both are one-time purchases, so any holiday discount is the whole saving.
Divot boards appear in our intermediate players guide, but XS Golf has not reviewed one, so no baseline price is listed here (N/C).

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a Black Friday deal on Arccos better value than a Shot Scope V5?
On cost alone, no sensor discount can close the gap. Arccos Smart Sensors cost $249.99 plus a $199.99 yearly membership after the trial, according to Arccos, or $849.96 over three paid years. The Shot Scope V5 launched at $249.99 with no subscription fees, according to Shot Scope. The three-year membership alone is $599.97.
Does the Garmin Approach R10 need a subscription?
The Garmin Golf membership is optional. Garmin charges $99.99 a year for the membership that adds Home Tee Hero course play, so the three-year cost is $499.99 without the membership and $799.96 with it.
What does the PuttOUT Pressure Putt Trainer cost?
PuttOUT lists the Premium Pressure Putt Trainer at $24.99 and the Classic version at $19.99, with putting mirrors sold separately. PuttOUT designs the ramp to return putts hit too soft or too firm.
Is the Garmin Approach S62 still sold?
Garmin launched the S62 in January 2020 at a suggested retail price of $499.99. A current Garmin product page and US price were not confirmed for this guide, so check availability and the current price before treating a holiday listing as a discount.
When will Black Friday 2026 golf tech prices be confirmed?
Black Friday 2026 is on 27 November. This guide lists October 2026 baseline prices and marks each promotion as not yet announced until the brand or an authorized retailer publishes it.
