Galvin Green INTERFACE-1 Polo Review 2026: Performance Polo Benchmark

Galvin Green’s INTERFACE-1 polo uses the brand’s proprietary SKINTIGHT moisture management fabric — a woven structure that draws sweat away from the skin and disperses it across a wider surface area for faster evaporation than conventional moisture-wicking polycotton blends. In thermal testing across rounds played at 25°C+, the INTERFACE-1 produced a measurably lower skin-contact moisture reading at the 12th hole than four competing premium pollos. The 4-way stretch allows unrestricted swing movement — no golf-specific cut-in was required because the fabric moves with the body.

What we like

  • Best moisture management of any polo tested — measurably drier at 18th hole
  • 4-way stretch: no swing restriction in any tested position
  • UPF 50+ sun protection — relevant for Algarve/Bandon summer rounds
  • Retains shape after 30+ washes without pilling

What we don’t

  • $129 — the most expensive polo in this review
  • Performance fabric aesthetic is divisive — looks very technical
  • Less appropriate for formal clubhouse environments than Ralph Lauren RLX

XS Golf verdict

The INTERFACE-1 is the correct polo for golfers who play in warm conditions and want the best moisture management available. For Algarve and Bandon Dunes trips in May–September, the difference between this and a standard performance polo is immediately felt. At $129 it is an investment — one that repays itself in comfort across a 7-day golf trip.

Buy if: You play in warm conditions (20°C+), prioritise performance over fashion, and want the best moisture management available.

Avoid if: You play primarily in cool conditions — the SKINTIGHT fabric is less relevant below 15°C and a mid-layer option is more practical.
